Lake Hamilton is 18 1/2 miles long and covers 7,200 acres. Boating is one of the most popular sports on the lake, and there are numerous boat launching ramps on the lake. In addition, various concessionaires rent boats and motors to the public. Water skiers will delight in the more than 14 square miles of surface area available on two area lakes and the many extended coves, which offer a calm surface. Sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boating also are popular on the lake and various types of small craft can be rented.
