Registration: All boats 12 feet to 26 feet in length must be registered and display current state sticker & number (CF, AZ, etc.) on both sides of bow and ALA sicker on starboard (right) windshield or bow or on sailboats on the starboard side or mast.
For boats under 12 feet:
A. No motor of any type on vessel
B. Must be registered by the ALA office
C. Must stay within 100' of shore
Owner's Responsibility
The boat owner is personally responsible for the safe operation of their boat at all times, including requiring ALA licensing of the operator. No owner of a vessel may rent or lease their vessel to another. No boat shall remain overnight on the lake without being in the boat owner's slip or having a slip rental agreement on file with ALA.
Prohibited Devices or Activities
Activities: The following devices are prohibited in all locations of Lake Arrowhead:
- Personal Water Craft
- Knee Boards
- Any non-registered boat
- Wind Surfers
- Scuba Diving
- Any towed device except approved skis
- It is illegal to throw or launch objects at vessels
Note: Non-powered flotation devices and swimming aids may be used only within 100 feet of the shoreline.

Lake Arrowhead Camping Information |

North Shore: 27 campsites, some suitable for RVs. Two sites will accommodate trailers up to 22 feet. There is one handicapped accessible site. North Shore is located within a mixed oak and conifer forest. It is operated by a concessionaire. Located near the north shore of Lake Arrowhead, two miles northeast of Lake Arrowhead Village. (Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and access is restricted.)
Reservations
Dogwood: 93 campsites. 66 will accommodate tents. Many sites are suitable for RV units. Sites are also available for trailers. There are also two multi-family sites (15 people, four vehicles per site). Two sites for the handicapped are also available. Dogwood is located in a heavily forested site. It is named for its beautiful Dogwood trees, whose spring blossoms and colorful fall foliage present spectacular displays. It is a popular campground, so early reservations are recommended. (Concessionaire operated). Located approximately 1/4 mile east of Rimforest, off Hwy 18, at the Blue Jay turnoff.
Reservations
Crab Flats: 29 campsites. Some spurs will accommodate trailers and RVs, but most are not level. Maximum lengths are 24 feet. Description: For the camper who wishes to wander the backcountry. Crab Flats Campground will provide an excellent base camp. Miles of Forest Service roads and trails are easily accessible from this campground, situated among scattered pines and oaks. It is also a "staging area" for OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) enthusiasts. Since this campground is used by people with motorcycles or ATV's, it can get quite dusty and noisy. (Concessionaire operated). Located 4 miles north of Green Valley Road, on Forest Service Road 3N34, accessed from 3N16. (These roads are not recommended for sedans and trailer campers.)
Reservations
Green Valley: 37 campsites, 22 suitable for tents or campers, 13 for trailers or RVs. The maximum length of spurs is 22 feet. A lush meadow surrounds this campground, which is located among tall pines. Nearby Green Valley Lake offers swimming, fishing and boating. Forest roads in the area are great for mountain biking and scenic driving. Located one mile east of Green Valley Lake, at the end of Green Valley Lake Road.
