Indeed, if one looks at the aerial plat map at the Hancock County courthouse, it would appear to have water. It seems either some settling has occurred, or perhaps a lake level change, or maybe a combination. At the present moment, there is not enough water to launch a boat. HOWEVER, the neighbor had the SAME kind of lot and got permission from the appropriate authorities to dredge and reclaim his lakefront status. He has a little seawall now and can boat from his property. I can only assume that would be feasible here, too. In any event, until that occurs, you are only three or four lots down from a deeded boat ramp for the community. Not many people seem to use it, and it has a dock, so you should have no problem getting your boat in and out of there until you decide to work the property. What I like about this is that it is QUIET, not in the middle of a boat run like so many deep water lots are. It is at the end of a quiet cove on the quiet southeast side of the lake. For me, living in metro Atlanta, I get enough noise and activity. This lot is perfect for PEACE and TRANQUILITY.
