The Stones-Bengard Community Service District provides
Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Response and Waste Water Treatment for our North shore community. Potable water can be found 100’ below ground by individual privately owned wells. Reliable, safe electricity is provided by Lassen Municipal Utility District. Internet and landline phone services are by Frontier Communications.

The community infrastructure of services, schools and worship are diverse. Lassen County enjoys a clean natural environment with excellent air quality. Our rural communities are ideal for raising families with less crime, traffic, and a lower cost of living.

ATV, mountain bike and snowmobile access to hundreds of miles of public lands are literally in our back yard with many lakes, streams and ponds within a few minutes of the Retreat that thrill nature lovers and anglers alike. The headwaters to what some say is the best fly fishing in the world, Hat Creek is a little over a one hour drive from the Retreat.

The Future of our Eagle Lake Community is very promising. Public Lands are very rarely sold for private development and the closed basin topography restricts golf courses protecting the lake from hazardous fertilizers and chemicals. The local ranchers have been wonderful stewards preserving our rural lifestyle.
