Northeast Indiana’s landscape was chiseled and crafted by the same mammoth glaciers that eventually receded into the Great Lakes. The deep gashes in the land filled into such beloved pools as Lake James, which is now known more for its fishing than its impressive inception. The lake hosts healthy populations of catfish, walleye, perch, and largemouth and smallmouth bass. Smallmouth bass like to keep it cool, being more active (and hungry) in spring and fall. Largemouth bass and catfish, however, welcome the heat and will bite at just about anything when the waters get warm in the summer. Everything you love most about Lake James can be enjoyed in the winter, too, even the fishing! Set up your shelter and settle in for a unique and authentic Indiana fishing experience!
