Lake Tillery Information |
Keep North Carolina’s Lake Tillery in mind if you’re looking for lake homes for sale. Lake Tillery rests along the Yadkin/Pee Dee River in Stanley and Montgomery Counties, and it strikes the unique balance of accommodating lakefront development while maintaining an absolutely pristine shoreline. Building is kept to a minimum along the lake’s 118 miles of beach, ensuring that the quality of the scenery and recreation is maintained.
Lake Tillery stretches across 5,263 acres of territory in the Uwharrie Lakes region of North Carolina. The unspoiled edge of the lake twists, turns, and edges into countless tributaries like Big Island Creek, Richmond Creek, and Bunny Creek. Such intricate topography, along with the crystal-clear quality of the water, fosters premium fishing opportunities. Lake Tillery is a popular destination for both experienced and novice anglers, since it hosts a variety of hunting areas and fish species. You’ll find largemouth, striped, and white bass in addition to red ear sunfish, bluegill, and channel catfish. And not only do you have your pick of fish, but you can either hunt them via beach, boat, or fishing pier. Once you’ve found your rhythm with the reel, enter into any of Lake Tillery’s annual fishing tournaments and show off your skills.
Llake properties for sale on lake Tillery offer space, privacy, and leisure. Swimming is always a favorite summer pastime, and many lake goers enjoy picking up speed and making a few waves pontoon boating, wind surfing, jet skiing, power boating, and kayaking. You’re welcome to launch your personal water toy from any of Lake Tillery’s public boat ramps, or you can rent the watercraft of your dreams from one of several marinas positioned around the lake for your convenience. Similarly, the surrounding Uwharrie National Forest and Morrow Mountain State Park host public access points to the water. With so many ways and means to experience Lake Tillery, there’s no excuse not to make a splash!
