"I fish that lake quite often lots of good largemouth, crappie, and perch fishing"
"I fished a tournament there on 5/16. First time on the lake, & it's a great little lake. Watch the boat ramp is very steep just past the water's edge so don't get in a hurry backing the boat in. Guys in 2wd trucks drug the bottom of the hitch when they backed in quickly."
"The bite was good, fish the pepper grass along the bank with rock use a white fluke and a topwater the first couple of hours of the day. Then the fish will move out to the docks and the walkways of the docks, caught all of those fish on a small jig and shakie head worm watermelon red is the color of choice. Caught lots of 2#ers with a 4+ kicker. Not a killer limit but it's prob good enuf for a check, it was that day."
"We saw basically what Steve saw when we sampled Crown Lake in April. The majority of the fish collected were from 14 to 16 inches (likely 2011 year class). We did sample a few really nice fish too ( 5 plus pounders). We collected most of the fish in the water willow, again like Steve mentioned. There are a bunch of large redear sunfish in that lake too. The boat ramp is tricky after they repaired it. We dragged our trailer while unloading our boat too."

Horseshoe Bend is the only city in Arkansas that includes land from three counties within its city limits. The bulk of the retirement and resort community lies in Izard County—in fact, it is the largest city in Izard County, with a population of 2,184 as of the 2010 census—but parts of Horseshoe Bend extend into Sharp and Fulton counties as well.
It has two golf courses and several lakes featuring fishing, boating, and other recreational activities.
The city has eight churches (Assembly of God, Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Nazarene, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, and United Methodist) as well as a number of restaurants, stores, and other businesses.
Horseshoe Bend lies within the Izard County Consolidated School District, which was created in 1985 with the consolidation of Oxford (Izard County) and Violet Hill (Izard County) schools.
