Partway along the 220-mile-long stream of Georgia’s Oconee River and halfway between the cities of Augusta and Atlanta, you’ll find Lake Oconee: a veritable oasis of peaceful landscapes and opportunities for recreation. Hidden in small communities nearby the lake are beautiful golf courses. The Greene County Chamber of Commerce hosts acres of golfing greens. The Reynolds Plantation in Lake Oconee Village has a whopping 117 holes, divided into six different courses, including the Cuscowilla, which has won awards from Zagat Survey, Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine.
