Ashley Lake is rated number 2
in the whole state of Montana for cleanliness; Home owners are (and do)
allowed to draw water for their home from the lake.
Ashley lake is about 5 miles long and a mile or so wide. It has 16.5 miles of shoreline and is 2,850 acres approximately. Elevation is 3500'. Ashley lake is renowned world wide for its abundance of birds such as loons, cranes, humming birds, wood peckers and many more. It is not uncommon to see moose and elk near the lake.
