My name is Darrell Sanderson and I have lived within 20 minutes of Smith Lake for the last 17 years. I now live in Cullman which is known as one of the "HOME" counties to one of the largest, deepest and cleanest man made lakes in the nation known as Lewis Smith or as locals like to call it Smith Lake. Cullman also is home to Lake Catoma and George Lake. Once a small town, Cullman has thrived over the last decade and in 2023 Cullman was known as the #1 micropolitan city in the nation for economic growth. My family lives in the city limits of Cullman just a mere 15 minutes from the beautiful shores of Smith Lake.
