- Fishing Regulations: Always check the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's regulations regarding fishing licenses, limits, and specific fishing rules for the lake.
- Best Practices: Catch-and-release fishing is encouraged to help maintain fish populations. Be sure to follow local guidelines regarding the size and number of fish that can be kept.

Boating
- Types of Boats: Non-motorized boats like kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are generally allowed. Motorized boats may have restrictions, so it's best to verify with local management.
- Launch Areas: Look for designated boat ramps or areas for launching. Ensure you're aware of any fees or permits required for boating.
- Safety: Always follow safety guidelines, including wearing life jackets, especially for children and inexperienced swimmers.

- Nearby Attractions: Check local listings for parks, trails, or recreational facilities nearby that can enhance your visit.

Local Resources
- Weather and Conditions: Before you go, check the weather for any fishing advisories or boating conditions.
- Community and Events: Look for local fishing events or tournaments that might be happening, as they can add a fun community aspect to your visit.
