You can catch channel catfish, crappie, flathead catfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, perch, striped bass, walleye, white bass, and wipers, but the lake is known across the region for its white bass and walleye fishing. And access to the lake has been improved in recent years, cultivating a great environment for quality fishing. For example, fish cleaning stations are available in two locations long the lakefront, and there are two handicap-accessible fishing piers.
