Hidden Lake Information

Hidden Lake in the town of Haddam, CT is fed by bottom springs and a few tributaries entering into lake. It is a 40 acre lake with a dam on the south side of the lake. It is a lake for swimming and small boats. The lake allows electric trolling motors with no gas motor boats allowed. The Hidden Lake Association was formed in 1937. The association pumps all the septic systems out for part of the association fees. The lake recently has been lowered every couple of years in the fall. Less than 5% of the cottages are seasonal; the rest are now year round homes.

Boats on HLA Beaches
From our Bylaws: Section 44. Only such owners not in possession of lake shore frontage may moor their boats at these beaches. Persons who are not owners of property or lessees of cottages by the Season or month, shall not keep a boat on the lake or store it on the land for use on the lake periodically. All boats at the beach or on the lake must have a Hidden Lake Association registration sticker attached.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the beach at any time.
