We strive to provide visitors with a quality outdoor experience while safeguarding this important water source for West Texas. Camp on primitive sites overlooking the lake and hike rugged trails in the Sam Wahl Recreation Area. Fishermen & boaters can enjoy one of the premier bass fishing lakes in Texas. Hunters can participate in hunting opportunities throughout the year in the Wildlife Mitigation Area.

Lake Alan Henry is a popular reservoir located in West Texas, specifically in Scurry County, near the town of Snyder. The lake was constructed in the late 1990s for water supply and recreational purposes and has since become a favored spot for fishing and boating.

- Surface Area: Around 3,400 acres when full.
- Maximum Depth: Approximately 80 feet.11 miles in length, 56 miles shoreline.
