Besides beach, sunsets and fishing, the area is known for its wineries and covered bridges. There’s also golf courses and an 8-mile greenway trail for cyclists. Geneva on the Lake (the “strip”) is well known in the area -- it is a mile long summer attraction (w/small amusement park, waterslides, mini-golf, arcades, go-cart track, karaoke bars, etc.).

Six Flags Amusement Park (plus the new animal park and water park) is about 45 minutes southwest (Aurora).

Cleveland (Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame plus many other attractions) is about 45 minutes west.

Further west of Cleveland, you’ll find more lake front resort towns (Vermillion, etc.) and Cedar Point Amusement Park.
