Rogers Springs Lake Information

The lake is spring fed and accessible to all property owners. There is a paved boat ramp located next to the dam where boats can be launched or stored with additional space for parking cars. The lake has a fishing pier located on the dam. No fishing is permitted from the dam other than from this designated pier. There is a designated swimming area on the lake which has seen minimal use since the swimming pool was installed. The prime fishing season is early Spring through mid Summer when bass, bream, and catfish are biting. There are some very large fish in the lake though the average size is between one and 2-1/2 lbs. The lake is fertilized each year to promote good lake health and was recently restocked. Recent tests performed by the State of Tennessee Wildlife and Fisheries have indicated that the lake is healthy and can support good fish stock.

Rogers Springs lake community is a privately incorporated lake community created in 1972. It is located in Hardeman County, which is in West Tennessee. The county seat of Hardeman is in the town of Bolivar which is located 17 miles north of the community. Our community is composed of two main areas – the lake side residences and a campground area. The lake is U-shaped, approximately 56 acres in size, 30 feet deep at its deepest point, and is spring fed. The lake is stocked with bass, catfish, bream, and some grass carp (to control vegetation). The community maintains its own roads and recreational facilities and property. It also owns and operates the community water system and legislates through the elected Board of Directors the laws which govern community activities.

The Board of Directors is composed of 9 community members of which 3 are elected each October (3 year terms). The officers on the Board include a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

The community pool is a large figure-eight style with a slide and is open each summer from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The cost for obtaining a pool access key is a $25. This is a one time fee. No lifeguards are on duty; however, rules for conduct and safety are posted at the pool entrance.
