Felix Valdes: Cherokee Lake Real Estate Agent Info

Felix Valdes Cherokee Lake Realty Visit the home page of www.cherokeelakerealty.com for reviews & testimonials of clients that conducted business with Cherokee Lake Realty. As a Buyer who is looking to purchase property in the Cherokee Lake area (an area encompassing four counties – Grainger, Hamblen, Hawkins, and Jefferson), why not use a Real Estate Firm that is plugged in, networked, and will know how to find your dream property in an area that we specialize in. Cherokee Lake Realty has access to many residential and land listings, auctions, and foreclosures throughout the area that are not found on online sites. The owner of Cherokee Lake Realty is not originally from this area, he moved here from another state twenty-seven years ago and knows what it is like to go through the relocation process. He experienced what someone new to the area will experience and is ready to share his knowledge and guidance as you go through this process. Relocating is never easy for a family, and you can feel a sense of comfort in knowing that someone that went through the same situation will be there helping and answering all of your questions. If you are currently out of state, contact us on a property that you are interested in and we will pull all available research and forward it to you: MLS info that is not available to the public, property history, surveys, lot dimensions, tax records, any and all information that will help you decide whether this property is a contender or not. If you are visiting the area now, contact us for areas that you would like information on. We will provide suggestions, recommendations, and directions on locations that may fit your needs. Because of scheduling constraints, we may not be able to accompany you, but as you search the information provided, we will only be a phone call away to answer your questions. There is no better way to identify whether a property is for you, or not, than to do a drive-by. Photos don’t always provide the true nature of how the property sits in relationship to neighboring homes. Areas that you may consider unsightly are best identified by driving by the home. If you need to see the inside of a home, please keep in mind, a 24-hour advance notice to gain access is the norm. We will then schedule the appointment for you and accompany you on your viewing. A member of the Grainger County Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce, Cherokee Lake Users Association, Glenmore Mansion, Mossy Creek Foundation, as well as the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors, Lakeway Area Association of Realtors, and Tennessee Realtors. Cherokee Lake Realty has been recognized and received national Designations from the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI); as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®); as a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS). As well as being Certified as a Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) and as a Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) by the National Association of Realtors. In other words, Cherokee Lake Realty is your experienced Real Estate Firm with a true hometown presence. If you are looking for property in Douglas, Norris, or other Tennessee lakes, don’t call us. Find yourself an expert in those lake areas. But, if you want someone that lives on Cherokee Lake, that swims in Cherokee Lake, that boats on Cherokee Lake, call Cherokee Lake Realty. As the saying goes, you don’t get really good at doing something by doing one thousand different things once. You get really good at something by doing the same thing one thousand times. Our name says it all – Cherokee Lake Realty. So, as you reach out for assistance in finding a property in the Cherokee Lake area, ask yourself this, do you want a firm that claims they are experts in all lake areas, or one that stands by and represents only one? Visit our website at www.cherokeelakerealty.com and read for yourself what our clients are saying. We do what we say we will do. We are in this together until you own your dream property!

Cherokee Lake Information

Cherokee Lake borders Grainger, Hawkins, Jefferson, and Hamblin Counties. With inlets that twist and turn in intricate patterns and recesses, the lake stretches an impressive 463 miles. Such a meandering shore and lengthy pool makes Cherokee Lake the ideal destination for die-hard anglers. Lake conditions are continually monitored to ensure anglers are treated to great fishing all year long. Fish habitats are maintained with the growth of willow, river birch, and bald cypress trees. Striped bass fishing is especially fruitful in these waters, but you’ll also find healthy numbers of crappie; walleye; sunfish; sauger; catfish; and white, largemouth, and smallmouth bass.

Boasting 28,780 acres of water surface, Cherokee Lake is prepared to host all your recreation activities. A picnic area, boat launch, and swimming beach are situated near the Cherokee Dam, which itself is 6,760 feet long. Similarly, a number of public parks, boat docks, marinas, and camping facilities surround the lake for your enjoyment and convenience. Lakefront properties look out on open waters dotted by sail boats, jet skis, rafts, canoes, and swimmers. Treat the trail blazer within by exploring the many small islands and coves you’ll find around the lake, and don’t hesitate to claim your own shady spot on the beach—there’s plenty of room for everyone!

Panther Creek State Park offers more than 1,400 acres of land to explore, as well. Trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding take you deep into the forest, where you might even cross paths with a white-tailed deer or an owl. You'll also find excellent golf venues near the lake. Cherokee Lake is surrounded by several notable public clubs, like Patriot Hills, Millstone, and Dandridge Country Club. If you’re interested in living on a Cherokee Lake golf course, visit GolfHomes.com for property listings and details.

Cherokee Lake
Fishing Information

Fish densities in Cherokee Lake are greater than most of the other TVA Reservoirs due to the high level which results in a dense forage base of Threadfin Shad, Gizzard Shad, and Alewife. A variety of fish attractors have been constructed over the years in an attempt to improve fishing for anglers. These include brush piles which are used by many game fish, and stake beds which are used primarily for concentrated crappie. The TVA has also planted Willow, Swamp Oak, Bald Cypress and River Birch in drawdown areas to create additional long lasting habitats.

Cherokee Lake is known for its Striped Bass fishing, but also offers Black Bass, Crappie, Walleye, Sauger, Sunfish, White Bass and Catfish. Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass are not stocked in Cherokee Lake because of their great abundancy. Of all the TVA lakes tested, Cherokee Lake has the highest score for large mouth bass.

Cherokee Lake provides fishermen with the hefty catches of Largemouth (April-May), Smallmouth (March-May) crappie (Mid April -May, Oct.-Nov.), White Bass (Late Feb.-March), and Strippers (Late Fall in the headwaters, river) They move out in May and are taken in the lake fishing live bait and jigging near submerged islands. Catfish (June-Aug.) off rocky banks. Bream (April- Oct.)
